As part of a Design Competition for Abu Dhabi Educational Council an Architectural Design Concept for Typical 3000 Student Capacity School from KG to G12 was submitted. The main focus was on gender separation this being a a key planning consideration. Gender separation was a main requirement and accordingly the splitting of the cycles on different floors became a key organizer for the project. An architectural language was used that was is in suite with the local traditional architecture of Abu Dhabi. Various elements had direct references in historic forms. The aim is for students to develop familiarity and pride in this heritage.
The whole presentation held to express the character and elaboration on the main focus of the arrangement showing the flexibility of the arrangement and clarity of design. The presentation submission to present the idea as per the RFP included preparing perspectives plans and a detailed report at a later stage. A model was requested for the finalist among which MHA was chosen.
