Palais des Sables Resort & Touristic Development in Mauritania is a development that is intended to take advantage of the pristine location in the Mauritania coast along the Atlantic Ocean. This project has been designed to become a comprehensive resort with facilities that can serve future tourists and business travellers as well as the local community.
The Plot of land is almost 1 Million sqm in size and 2 km in depth with 500m directly along the beach. The development takes up almost half of the stretch overlooking the ocean.
The project is composed of a Resorts Hotel that is laid back to allow for a considerable landscaped area. Behind the hotel near the main access to the project there is also a multipurpose building that can serve as a Wedding Hall. This has ample parking and is an integrated part of the development. The project also accommodates a Souq that is placed strategically within the center of development to serve all the inhabitants. It is laid down in two rows of shops with the central spaced having a direct view of the ocean as well.
There is a centrally located Clubhouses and Restaurant building also that has direct access to the hotel and is also located within reach of the villas. The visitors of the Souq can also quickly reach the facility as well.
The project comprises 50 typical villas, 3 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms, that have been laid out into two U shaped arrangements to allow for direct view of the ocean for the majority of the inhabitants through a beautifully landscaped spaces within the two formations.
On the extreme south and to create an expressive ending feature to the development, a round shaped Anchor Restaurant is located with glazing on all sides to take advantage of all views.
